When Ana Blows...Its Hurts

Southern California, you hang in there. Winds of 80mph(that's 130 kilometers per hour for all you Europeans out there Sippin). Utah had winds over a 100mph. Santa Ana winds that blow out of the desert are hot and they're dry and can reach up to 140mph. Though 400k without power sucks, its the potential fire threat that most are concerned with. So far, so good. If you are in harms way, get a ride with Bono's Uncle on his Snapcycle. If you happen to be safe, don't you dare light up out side. Looks like its hotboxin for a day.

Ring A Ling, Ding A Ling

We have had some pretty nice weather up here in the Tri State area for the last couple weeks, but our lovely Hump Day has been slowed down by some wet weather.
Tonight we have the lighting of the Christmas Tree in Rockefeller Center. A lil rain can't bog down a good party. Cee Lo Green and the Rockets will be there to continue the tradition starting back in 1931. This 74ft Norwegian Spruce from Miffinville, Pa will be dressed in 5 miles of lights(30,000). The good news is, Obama will be there to block traffic, eat hot dogs(you can tell a lot by the first bite) and pitch his new book, "NYC Works Too Hard For A Living." Hey, can you blame the guy...he's spot on, well with those Fat Cats on Wall Street working over time, killing their livers and sleeping 3 hours a night JUST so they can to pay for their kids schools, their wives groceries and their gas guzzling SUV's! The audacity to work for a living and then want to SPEND your own cash...GREEDY PR1CKS! or something like that. USA USA USA...seriously though, have a great night, watch the tree get lit or just get lit yourself...either way, be well, treat others well and tip your tender. GBA

Drink Up Johnny, Things Will Be Fine

Consumption of alcohol hit a 25-year high in 2010, when 67% of Americans reported drinking alcoholic beverages, according to a Gallup poll. That's a level unseen since the late 1970s, when 71% of Americans said they drank.
Got to be honest...with all the doom and gloom out there, its no doubt we turn to the one one partner that's always there for us...coldies. Drinking them coldies with your bird and some buds warms up the soul in a matter of seconds. Hell, just the thought of meeting some pals after work today is giving me the Jimminy Cricket legs, all hippitty hoppin in my chair.
For all you single mutts and birds out there, tonight is one of the best nights to slay. You get to live like High School Harry for another night, hell another weekend. All the chums are back in town from their jobs in LA or the University in Colorado. Billy tells ya he's killing it in Hollywood producing movies and staring in a couple pilots(translation, been on the wrong end of a hummer more then once, and not because he wanted to). Then there is Missy who just made Deans List at Boulder(Translation...who cares). Bottom line is, don't sell it cause we ain't buying it...just pretend you are in high school again, loosen the tie and for crying out loud, lose the fcking blazer. Mostly because I like to be the only one with a blazer on. God Bless You Mutts...Have a Great Night!

Gobble Gooble Sip It

Ahhhh, Thanksgiving. Is there a better day to sit back, relax, eat well and sip suds? Not that I can think of. Great football, solid weather, and a nip in the air as the sun sets, lends itself to a roaring fire. If you are fortunate enough to love your family and enjoy spending time with those mutts, well this is your day. Sure we might get overserved and bring up some history that should have burried long ago, maybe we go toe to toe with a brother or tell a sister in law to take that drum stick and beat it but we must focus on the good and there is plenty of good to be thankful for.

Thank you early European Settlers, for taking that maiden voyage. Plymouth has OS, Pilgrams and a whole lot of history. Thank you Wampanoag for showing us the ways of America. Thank you for the land, the seeds and of course, the peace pipe pouch. You never thanked us for taking your land, driving you west and those foreign viruses. Don't mention it. We are all square with the casino gig.
Honestly, if I think about that I will get depressed...and thats not what this holiday is about.

Its about doing the right thing. Its about being Thankful for a productive year, for a bountiful harvest and a strong community. Take that anyway you want, but just stay positive, be helpful to others and Give Thanks. Keep Sipping, Keep Smiling and have a Happy Thanksgiving.
